Born in the desert and probably destined to die in here as well, m.e. gamlem is a lover of cats, pizza, bad tattoos, and good music.

Since before they knew how the world worked they wanted to be a writer. They wrote. They put out zines. They put out some poetry chap books. Then, poof, they just existed.

Formerly a public high school teacher in English Language Arts, m.e. resigned their position after seven years as we watch the system of education crumble into a wasteland of rampant horror. They built this website and decided to publish their books.

Their first collection of poetry Death Language was published in 2000. Terasoft Press published their short story “The Sad Elwah” in 2015. Their short story collection Cutting Teeth and other stories was first made available in 2011 and was expanded and reprinted in 2024. Another collection of short stories and a novella are forth coming in 2025.
